St Andrews Links Trust commissioned me to create a portrait of Robert ‘Bob’ MacIntyre to commemorate his 2025 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship win.
I had the pleasure of presenting the painting to Bob at the Home of Golf Hub in St Andrews, where I work as artist in residence, ahead of his return to defend his title.
The portrait captures Bob holding his trophy, marking a special victory on Scottish soil at the Home of Golf.
Working on the Old Course, I see every day how much St Andrews means to people. Being able to capture and commemorate a moment like this is really special.
“John has done an incredible job with the painting,” Bob said.
I love presenting someone with a painting that represents an important moment in their life, and I was really pleased that Bob was so happy with his portrait.
