Recreating a Legend: Tiger Woods at The Open, 2000, recreated for his 50th Birthday.

Birthday Portrait of Tiger Woods winning the Open in St. Andrews in 2000. Beautifully captured by artist John Kelly.

This was a special project on every level. The image of Tiger, standing with arms raised after sealing victory on the Old Course, is etched into golf history. To bring that moment back to life on canvas, right here at the ‘Home of Golf’ in St. Andrews, was something I’ll never forget.

A massive thank you to the R&A and The Open for supporting my work and for this incredible opportunity. It was an absolute pleasure to work with them, and truly an honour to be chosen to recreate Tiger Woods’ iconic celebratory win at St Andrews in 2000, commissioned to mark his 50th birthday on December 30th.

I’m proud to have played a small part in celebrating a legendary career, and I’m so grateful to the R&A and The Open and everyone involved for trusting me with such a meaningful commission.
